"In late 2000, it became apparent to me that a customer-focused company philosophy could benefit from new technology developments and enable a much higher level of service delivery than had historically been the case in the on-hold messaging industry.

Behind-the-scenes automation of on-hold message production and delivery could streamline the entire process while putting control directly in the hands of the users. By making the production process quick, easy, and fun to work with, we have enjoyed strong customer loyalty and great appreciation for our company’s application of these technologies."

In December of 2000, Allan began to map out the concept for the Production Wizard™ with Robert Shaw, President of Data On The Web -- a development leader specializing in designing, implementing, and managing substantial website-integrated databases. On January 2nd of 2001, they launched On-Hold Media Group's Production Wizard™.

Since that beginning in 2001 secured our leadership position in the on-hold industry, our teamwork approach has resulted in continual enhancements and upgrades. The initial Production Wizard™ single-production tool evolved into today’s Shuffle3™ system, which accommodates multiple, scheduled productions up to six months in the future, derived from user-created playlists.

Skilled veterans from the technology, broadcasting and advertising industries maintain this focus on the customer experience, applying their backgrounds to assure that our customers experience the highest possible level of creative development and production quality. Allan has selected team members who display exceptional technical skills, creative talents and, most of all, a passion for excellent customer service, to carry forward this commitment.

On-Hold Media Group's Team provides service for a wide cross-section of clients ranging from single-location businesses and professional practices, to national and international corporations such as Sonesta Collection hospitality properties, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, TricorBraun, Baylor Healthcare, and RADnet.

Additionally, the company has developed local and national relationships with vertical market industry associations including IMARK, IMARK Plumbing, The Luxury Product Group, AD Gypsum Supply, The Commonwealth Group, and others that list On-Hold Media Group as the preferred provider of on-hold services.

On-Hold Media Group has become the standard for the on-hold industry as a result of a solid history of firsts and numerous company milestones, including:

  • 2001 – Launched the Production Wizard website: www.onholdwizard.com, industry's first on-hold message CMS or Content Management System in the cloud (before this was referred to as the "Cloud"). Implemented WizDispatcher, industry's first automated on-hold message delivery system via dial-up.
  • 2002 – Began designing and testing the WizPlayer 2400, the industry's first Internet-connected on-hold message playback device.
  • 2003 – First production run of WizPlayer 2400 units (made in Richardson, Texas). Installed initial shipments.
  • 2004 – WizPlayer 2400 approved by McAfee Internet Security for all of their U.S. and International offices.
  • 2005 – WizPC Player announced with free 10-day Trial.
  • 2007 – Released Production Wizard 3.0™: Single-page control panel streamlined production creation process, allowing more flexibility and less time to create new productions.
  • 2008 – Added capabilities to address the growth in VoIP telephony with automated mixing of MOH files and email notification of completed production availability.
  • 2009 – Continued to add user-friendly features to Production Wizard 3.0™, to enhance ease of use and enjoyment of the production process, including Branch Dedicated Scripts and custom music boxes.
  • 2010 – Reached: 1,500 customer locations and 50,000 individual scripts generated.
  • 2011 – Celebrated our 10th anniversary. Launched the Shuffle™ CMS – Content Management System.
  • 2013 – Integrated Neltech’s iLink LCD playback device into the Shuffle™ CMS.
  • 2015 – Launched Shuffle3™. Moved our studio headquarters to Hall Office Park, Frisco, TX.
  • 2016 – Crossed the 85,000 individual script milestone.
  • 2017 – Launched new, updated website design.
  • 2018 – Passed the 100,000 individual script plateau.
  • 2019 – Delivered our 600,000th production. Launched quarterly Product Showcases for supplier customers in 5 industries. Launched quarterly marketing updates for all customers. Became Preferred Partner of IMARK Plumbing, LPG, and AD Gypsum Supply.
  • 2020 – Developed the quicker, easier Shuffle Xpress™ mode.
  • 2021 – Introduced our ReFresh-It program to keep your content timely and relevant with ease.
  • 2022 – Delivered our One-Millionth On-Hold Production.
  • 2023 – Entered our 23rd Year.
